Our winter espresso comes from El Cutai farm in Guatemala. This plantation is owned by Pivaral family for four generations and it's located in Santa Elena Barillas, 1.250m a.s.l. between the Amatitlan lake and the Pacaya volcano (one of the most active volcanos on earth). Rich flora, comprehensive microclimate and moist air as well as fertile volcanic soil make perfect conditions to grow coffee.
Coffee grows in the shadows of other trees which enables the fruit to mature slowly which means it will contain more sweetness. Coffee is handpicked only, then is transported to the mill where it goes through wet processing.
